Forgotten artist: Ann Peebles
Peebles was discovered as a talent by Gene "Bowlegs" Miller of Hi Records during a 1968 trip to sit in singing with him at a Memphis, Tennessee, nightclub. Peebles released a number of commercially successful and critically well received Memphis soul albums produced by Willie Mitchell on Hi Records throughout the 1970s, until the rise of disco music in the late 1970s took her music out of the limelight.

Washed out - Amor Fati
"My formula for greatness in a human being is amor fati: that one wants nothing to be different, not forward, not backward, not in all eternity. Not merely bear what is necessary, still less conceal it—all idealism is mendaciousness in the face of what is necessary—but love it." - in Nietzsche's Ecce Homo.
Great track by the way. Washed Out is the stage name of the American chillwave musician Ernest Greene (born in 1983, Perry, Georgia).
