Nieuwe track van Bright Eyes is speciaal gericht op de Sound Strike, een samenwerking van artiesten om Arizona te boycotten. Daar is een controversiële wet in werking getreden die de politie extra macht geeft om mensen op te pakken die mogelijk illegaal in de VS zijn.

Van het nieuwe album Crush. Punkpop uit de LA van de USA hoek. Plaats ze ergens tussen Animal Collective en Liars. Band is nog erg zoekende maar komt elke keer weer met een nieuwe muzikale richting. Nu is het tijd voor jaren-80-met-veel-stekkers-synths. Doe er je voordeel mee.

Cee Lo Green - Fuck you

Cee Lo Green brengt zijn album een maand eerder uit. Het succes van dit nummer is de belangrijkste reden. Inderdaad Cee-Lo is Gnarls Barkley. Ook met milde titel 'Forget you' dwarrelt hij over het grote wijde net. Ouderwets lekkere soulvolle track met explicit randje.

Uit Toronto, Canada. Voor de folky liefhebbers - zoals ik - van oa Sufjan Stevens een nieuwe ontdekking. Beetje ook de zangmagie van de Magic Numbers. Of Fleet Floxes. Zie de vid! Album: When You Left The Fire.

The band recorded most of their new album: When You Left The Fire as well as their EP Hymns Of Love & Spirits in their basement studio. They learned not to rely on electric instruments, although they now use them, but on the strength of their voices and melodies.
