Embers - Hollow cage

Take a few minutes and listen to this song. Embers is a new band from Manchester with an epic sound that has elements of post-rock, psychedelia, shoegaze, ambient and even choral music. Think about the massive sound of Muse and Sigur Rós.
My guess is this band will be very successfull. Still unsigned though!

Hurts - Exile 2013

Hurts will release a new album in March: Exile. The new single & video Exile 2013 is short but has a great climax. And the guys must be a fan of Depeche Mode. Also watch: BETTER THAN LOVE

The Family Rain - Trust me.. I'm a genius

A great track for a comeback on this blog. Band to watch: The Family rain. I'm desperately waiting for the rest of the album.. But this track will do for the coming weeks. Three brothers, great guitars 60's feel. Wow! Please place them next to Spoon and the Cold War Kids.

Flume - Holding on

Time for your daily subwoofer test. Are they still working properly? Flume is a kid from Australia that knows how to sample with great breaks and soulful vocals. Infectious new album: Flume.

Little Green Cars - The John Wayne

Great vocals. Irish band comes with a medley of styles. This track brings me halfway between the Magic Numbers & Mumford & Sons. Still a great debut with a haunting song. Thanks Frans for the tip. Hi Maarten :-).

The Neighbourhood - Let It Go

I hope this video doesn't portray the private live of Sylvie and Rafael. Anyway... Fascinating vid and good new song of The Neighbourhood. "I'm Sorry..." EP is out now.
